I can’t believe we’re already in June 2026! By the time this month ends, we’ll be halfway through the year – how crazy is that? I’ve been having a bit of a tougher time this year especially last month (as you can tell from a lack of posts in May), but I’m trying to work through it by God’s grace and I think everything is going to be okay, even if it takes a little longer than I expected. With that being said, I’m excited to share my May 2026 reading wrap-up. I decided to upgrade to the Plus version of The StoryGraph as a little birthday present and I’m having fun playing around with the custom graphs.

I didn’t finish any audiobooks last month which is actually not surprising to me… sometimes, I feel like it’s easy to get distracted when I’m listening and lose track of the plot. But I’m currently listening to Andy Serkis’ narration of The Hobbit and it’s amazing so far! I’ve also been frequenting the library a lot more and I am working my way to having a fairly even split of physical books vs e-books. Speaking of e-books, my boyfriend got me a Kindle Colorsoft for my birthday and I LOVE it! Makes reading e-books so much easier.

Looking back at my spread, I didn’t have any 5 star reads for the month (which is okay) but I did have 4 really solid 4.5 star reads that were amazing! I also read fewer ARCs this month but I’m not upset about that – I am happy I cleared my TBR backlog a little bit before diving headfirst into some more ARCs. No non-fiction last month which I’m a little bummed about. I think I just need to make a plan on what to read and commit to it. As a mood reader, plans sometimes don’t work if I’m not in the mood for a particular book but I’m more than happy to be disciplined if not in that particular area.
